Prioritising

I needed to prioritise.

So I did.

I've decided that my attention needs to more concentrated on my family.

I have five children.

Rosie, my eldest daughter is fast approaching eighteen. I need to make more time for her. Just the two of us together.......before she's all grown up and not around so much.

Jake, my sixteen year old son is at a difficult time in his life. He is struggling with decisions relating to his education and issues with his father. I need to make more time for him, to talk. Really talk.

Izzy is seven. She is in a time of transition at school from an infant pupil to junior. Her schoolwork and her development needs to be given plenty of attention.

Eliza is three. She is now a 'rising five' at playgroup and will be starting school next year. She is growing up so fast and I don't want it to pass me by without me noticing everything....if you know what I mean.......

Carter has just turned one. His birthday was on Tuesday. My baby boy is nearly a toddler. Again, I don't want to miss a thing.

Then there's Kev, my amazing husband. We are all too often (for want of a less naff analogy) just ships passing in the night, too busy for conversation until we are both on the edge of sleep.

It's not really good enough.

So......I've decided not to blog.
Maybe for a while, maybe for a long time or maybe never again.
I'll see.

I know that my postings haven't been all that frequent but just nosing at other peoples blogs more or less every day takes time that could be better spent on other things....no offence intended!

For anyone who happens to 'give a flying one', feel free to send me an email from time to time.

Take care all, you're all blogtastic,

BLOG-ON!!!!!!!

love,

Sarah x

P.S. Meredic.......Please can I bags a signed copy of 'Ordinary Life' when it's published? :)x

Understairs glory-hole

I've just realised the title of this post sounds a bit rude but I can assure you that this is not an indication of the content of the post!

Sally gave me these.....how lovely is that!????

I wish I had one of those clear minds....you know, the kind that isn't cluttered up with 'stuff'. It would be nice to have little compartments inside my head where the stuff could be neatly put away and taken out as and when needed then dealt with/used/binned or filed neatly away again.

My mind however has one of those huge full-up,very muddled, mostly junk understairs type of cupboards where the stuff just gets thrown then the door quickly shoved in an attempt to close it before all the stuff piles out on top of me.........

Things in my head at the moment.

1) The McCanns. For what it's worth, I think that the parents of Madeleine are guilty of leaving their three children alone in an obviously vulnerable situation that night, resulting in the awful events that have followed. Nothing else. I really hope I'm proved right. Soon.

2) The awful treatment of 16 month old Talha Ikram resulting in his death and WHY his father and stepmother have been given sentences of just 9 years?! Maybe more importantly how the authorities negligence allowed this to happen.

3) Smilers 1st birthday! (Tues. 11th)

4) Perfectionists Playgroup forms to complete and return.

5) Playgroup duty.

6) Perfectionists Nursery forms to complete and return.

7) Artists school form to complete and return.

8) Doctors appointment.

9) Change beds, washing on, washing out, ironing, etc etc.

10) Epilate legs...before turning into monkey-woman!

11) Make birthday cake.

12) 'Phone Mel (best friend), Mum and Sally (to thank her for the home-made loaf).

13) Artists homework.

14) Rosie moving in with my parents for a while.

15) Rosie moving back in with us?

16) Re-organising bedrooms if Rosie does move back in.

17) Wrap Smilers birthday gifts.

18) Catch latest news.

19) Read newspaper.

20) Vets appt. for cats.

21) Tax car.

22) Catch up on everyones blogs.

23) Publish this post!

24) scratch my own arse!

Yeah, I know...in the time it's taken to type this (worlds crappest typist!) I could have dealt with loads of 'stuff'!!!

So......where shall I start..............
